Goose Creek State Park

We have stayed in Goose Creek State Park twice as of this writing – once in late April, 2023 and again in early March, 2024. The campground is small, new and features 50 amp service and full hookups. No shade, so it would be hot in the summer. There are quite a few trails for hiking and biking.

The bath house is nice with tile facilities. The water was very warm, but not as hot as we like it. The showers are push-button-timer activated, so on the second visit it was more comfortable to shower in the rig.

Driveways are wide, sites are fairly level and gravel, with a separate picnic area, also gravel. No check-in – drive right to the site. The nearest groceries and restaurants are in Little Washington, about 8 miles away. Nice bookstore there, and a river walk.

This is a quiet, dark campground, and a good spot close to our home base if coming from the south.

We have stayed in sites 11 and 13. $36 per night.
